Call The Trades call alerts

Call The Trades Inc runs Call the Trades, a platform that connects homeowners with licensed tradespeople for video consultations. Users can choose to get text messages about their calls. Texts are optional; you can use Call the Trades without them.

What we send

  • A new call request (to the tradesperson)
  • The tradesperson's answer to a request (to the homeowner)
  • A reminder before a scheduled call (to both)
  • A cancellation (to both)
  • Replies when you text us for help

We never send marketing or promotional texts. Message frequency varies with your activity on the platform. Message and data rates may apply.

How you opt in

  1. Create a free account at app.callthetrades.com or in the Call the Trades mobile app.
  2. Add your mobile number (homeowners on the Calls page, tradespeople during profile setup). We text you a one-time 6 digit code to confirm the number is yours.
  3. Tick Text me about my calls. The box starts unticked, and we only send call alerts if you tick it. We text you once to confirm.

How to stop texts

Reply STOP to any message, or untick Text me about my calls in your account. You will get one message confirming you are unsubscribed, and no more after that. To start again, reply START.
