Privacy notice
What we collect through this website, why, and what you can do about it. In plain English.

This notice covers the Call the Trades website at callthetrades.com while we prepare for launch, including the waitlist and contact forms. A full privacy policy for the Call the Trades service will be published before launch.
What we collect
- Waitlist: whether you're a homeowner or a tradesperson, your name, email address, ZIP code and state, and optionally your trade, years of experience, license status, the projects you're planning, how you heard about us, and any invite code you used.
- Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number, the topic you choose and your message.
- Technical information: your IP address and basic browser information, used to prevent spam and abuse. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process device and browser signals to tell people from bots.
- Cookies and analytics: one cookie remembers your light or dark display preference, if you choose one. We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type and how you found us). Google Analytics sets its own cookies to do this. We don't use advertising cookies.
Why we collect it
- To tell you about our launch and early access, and to invite founding experts to get verified.
- To reply to your messages.
- To plan where and in which trades to launch first.
- To keep our forms free of spam and abuse.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are stored in a database on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Cloudflare D1), and a copy is emailed to our team so we can respond. Cloudflare also hosts this website and provides our security and email-sending services. Google provides our website analytics (Google Analytics).
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We only share it with the service providers that run this website for us (currently Cloudflare), or if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and contact information until it's no longer needed for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your choices
- Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by contacting us through our contact page.
Children
This website and the waitlist are intended for adults 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
